Alfabeto dos andorinhões: vídeo, 1’56’’, cor, som, loop, 2026
Sobre a paisagem das Cataratas do Iguaçu, na tríplice fronteira entre Brasil, Argentina e Paraguai, o alfabeto guarani, em letras minúsculas, atravessa as imagens e interfere na leitura das cenas. Ao incidir sobre o fluxo da água e o voo dos andorinhões-das-cascatas, aves emblemáticas que vivem e nidificam nas fendas e rochas úmidas atrás das quedas-d’água, o trabalho coloca em relação linguagem, território e percepção. Protegidas pela cortina de água contra predadores, essas aves podem ser vistas com frequência ao amanhecer e ao pôr do sol. Desse encontro emergem formas de existência que persistem para além das fronteiras oficiais.

Alfabeto dos andorinhões [Alphabet of the Waterfall Swifts]: video, 1’56’’, color, sound, loop, 2026
Set against the landscape of Iguazu Falls, at the tri-border of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay, the Guarani alphabet, in lowercase letters, crosses the images and interferes with the reading of the scenes. As it falls upon the flow of the water and the flight of the waterfall swifts—emblematic birds that live and nest in the crevices and wet rocks behind the falls—the work brings language, territory, and perception into relation. Protected by the curtain of water from predators, these birds can often be seen at dawn and at sunset. From this encounter emerge forms of existence that persist beyond official borders.
