Benedito Ferreira é artista visual e pesquisador. Suas investigações artísticas estão centradas na imagem como escrita, na poética dos arquivos, suas montagens e apagamentos dos limites entre “documento” e “ficção”. Trabalha com audiovisual, objetos, instalação, cenografia e fotografia, sem estabelecer hierarquias entre os meios. Nos últimos anos, mostrou trabalhos e colaborou com instituições como Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra (Portugal), The Room Projects (França), Art Space BLECH for Contemporary Art (Alemanha), Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo (Uruguai), Center for Contemporary Art Tbilisi (Geórgia) e Czong Institute for Contemporary Art (Coreia do Sul). Seu trabalho integra o acervo do Museu Nacional de Belas Artes (MNBA – RJ), Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Jataí (GO), Museu de Artes Plásticas de Anápolis (MAPA – GO), Museu da Imagem e do Som de Goiás (MIS – GO), Pinacoteca Municipal Miguel Dutra (SP), Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision (Holanda), Itaú Cultural (SP) e coleções particulares. Participou do Programa de Orientação de Projetos em Artes Visuais (Centro de Pesquisa e Formação – Sesc SP), Programa Imersões Poéticas (Escola sem sítio) e Programa Trampolim (Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Goiás). Doutor em Artes pela Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (Uerj).

Benedito Ferreira is a visual artist and researcher. His artistic investigations are centered on the image as writing, on the poetics of archives, their montages and erasures of the limits between “document” and “fiction”. He works on filmmaking, objects, installation, scenography and photography, without no hierarchies between media. In recent years, he collaborated with institutions such as Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra (Portugal), The Room Projects (France), Art Space BLECH for Contemporary Art (Germany), Espacio de Arte Contemporáneo (Uruguay), Center for Contemporary Art Tbilisi (Georgia) and Czong Institute for Contemporary Art (South Korea). His work is part of the collection of the Museu Nacional de Belas Artes (Brazil), Museu de Arte Contemporânea de Jataí, Museu de Artes Plásticas de Anápolis, Museu da Imagem e do Som de Goiás, Pinacoteca Municipal Miguel Dutra, Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision, Itaú Cultural and private collections.
